Sarah Silverman Set To Premiere “PostMortem” Comedy Special On Netflix May 20th

Emmy winner Sarah Silverman‘s second original Netflix comedy special, the newly titled PostMortem, is set to premiere globally on the service on May 20.

Coming on the heels of Sarah Silverman: Speck of Dust (2017), also for Netflix, Silverman’s new hour sees her find comedy in the darkest corners of life, following the recent death of both of her parents. In the special, she navigates the absurdities of death, from unexpectedly finding the “deal of a lifetime” while planning their funerals to cherishing the bittersweet experience of hearing her mother’s last words.

Silverman directed and exec produced the special, taped at The Beacon Theater in New York City, with Amy Zvi and John Skidmore (Best Kept Secret Productions) producing.

Most recently taking to Max with her hour Someone You Love, Silverman prior to her time at Netflix won an Emmy for HBO’s We Are Miracles, prior to that hitting theaters with her acclaimed special Jesus Is Magic. A veteran actress, she most recently unveiled adapted her memoir The Bedwetter into a musical that made its D.C. premiere at Arena Stage in February.

Currently on tour, Silverman is represented by Canopy Media Partners, UTA, and Ziffren Law.
