Stand-up comedian Maddi Mays has created the opportunity to talk to some of her friendliest comedic peers and enjoy a well-known hobby: the Broken Crayons podcast.
Join Maddi weekly as she breaks out the crayons and has an intimate conversation with various special guests from the world of comedy entertainment. Mays and the guests will discuss a variety of topics, including current events, interesting theories, life journeys, how they developed their sense of humor, and so much more.
Maddi Mays: Maddi Mays is Houston-raised, Los Angeles-based Artist, Costume Designer, Stylist & Illustrator, who approaches every project as a new world to dive into. Maddi has experience working in TV/Film, Theatre & Music Videos. She has worked on TV shows like Hulu’s Dollface and NBC’s Bust Down as a costume illustrator and PA, additionally graphic designing the logo for Bust Down. Maddi has also worked as a stylist for the artist Peyton on her music video Perfect Peach and for BRS Kash on his music video, I’m Hot, and has assistant styled for Migos & Brent Faiyaz.
Additionally, Maddi has licensed her original artwork for HBO’s “PAUSE with Sam Jay”, which can be seen on the walls of every episode.
Maddi’s work explores character, identity and femininity. She is passionate about creating work that is striking and thought-provoking, whilst capturing subtle nuances that create an honest and fully-grounded world.
This week, in her debut episode, Maddi is joined by friend and fellow comedian Aaron Branch, and their comedy and art meet with a fresh twist.
Aaron Branch: A modern-day Renaissance Man, Aaron Branch is an actor, comedian, writer, producer and hip-hop artist. Branch made his comedic debut at an open mic night when he was just 16 years old. Six months later, he won the title of “Best Comedian in Kansas City” at Stanford & Sons Comedy Club.
