Justin Willman, the magician-comedian behind Netflix‘s Magic for Humans, is set to take to the streamer with its first-ever magic comedy specialMagic Lover, on June 17.

Filmed live at the Fitzgerald Theater in St. Paul, Minnesota, Magic Lover sees Willman deliver fresh takes on fatherhood, inflation, screen time, and finding order in life’s chaos, in between tricks.

The special is executive produced by Willman, Daniel Kinno, Alex Murray, Stuart MacLeod, Adam Franklin, Brian Volk-Weiss, Cisco Henson, and Davina Dobrovech.

A Critics Choice nominee with an established track record at Netflix, Willman has quickly become one of the most prolific magicians of his generation. In 2024, he premiered Netflix’s Magic Prank Show, a viral hit where he and his crew helped real people pull off elaborate pranks with a bit of magical payback. Prior to that, he created and starred in Magic for Humans, Netflix’s breakout magic series, where he brought his signature style to street magic, social experiments, and some of America’s most wonderfully weird subcultures. Magic for Humans became one of Netflix’s most streamed series upon release, with clips from the show earning over 150 million views across social media and inspiring a wave of viral memes. All three seasons are currently available to stream.

Willman’s television appearances include The Tonight Show, Today, The Kelly Clarkson ShowConan, and a live performance for the Obama family at the White House. He’s also a seasoned host, having led series like Baking ImpossibleCupcake Wars, and Win, Lose or Draw.

Currently touring the country with his live theater show Illusionati — an evening of misdirection, mind games, and laughs — which will continue through 2025.
