In his latest comedy special AC Better Chill, Cunningham is raw, edgy and unfiltered while challenging the PC culture as he ties his current life with some of his real childhood stories, He doesn’t hold back punches explaining how he feels about sensitive people, growing up with a murderer, marriage and his kids being 27 years apart.
Allen Cunningham: Trouble was inevitable growing up in one of the worst neighborhoods in Detroit, Michigan. AC’s three older brothers had his back, but that didn’t stop them from teasing him and his cheap-looking clothing, thick glasses and overall nerdy appearance. Being constantly teased turned out to work in his favor, since he quickly learned how to defend himself by using his sense of humor. This ability led him to the stage as a successful stand-up comedian, who has since performed around the globe.
He ultimately moved to Los Angeles to further his career, where he discovered that he also has a passion for writing. After taking film classes at Los Angeles City College, he directed his first feature, The Soul Agency.
