Acclaimed stand-up comedian Ryan Rogers is back with GIRL BYE, his highly-anticipated sophomore stand-up comedy album, set for global release on June 6 on Burn This Records.

The follow-up to his critically praised debut “She Is Me,” GIRL BYE is a fearless, laugh-out-loud exploration of the personal and political: addiction, gay marriage, homophobia, family, and everything in between.

Recorded live in front of a sold-out crowd at Sports Drink Comedy Club in New Orleans, the album captures Ryan at his sharpest and most unfiltered.

“If you don’t laugh, you’re a bigot,” jokes Rogers. “I think we’re all searching for a tool to puncture the fear and anxiety of living in America right now – and that’s exactly what this album is.”

Rogers wanted the material on this album to be hilarious to folks on both sides of the aisle, so he spent a year workshopping jokes in conservative rural dive bars and gay bars packed to the rafters.

“As a gay comedian, I often feel judgement from members of my own LGBTQIA+ community and obvious hate from the homophones – and that’s before I say a word,” says Rogers. “So I worked on this material in the most polarizing places across the country. At a moment when gay and trans people are facing attacks and erasure, I wanted to spotlight the absurdity of this moment.”

The video version of GIRL BYE, directed by local filmmaker David Culotta, will premiere the same day on OFTV — offering fans a front-row seat to the electric energy of the live show.

The album is a collaborative release from Burn This Records, OFTV, Sports Drink, Euphemism Studios, and Mixtape Sounds.
