Pete Davidson is charging up to stand and deliver in his new Netflix comedy special, Turbo Fonzarelli!
In PEOPLE’s exclusive sneak peek at his latest standup show, Davidson “delivers on what it means to grow up and turn 30, discussing love, life, and living in the woods,” per a synopsis of the special directed by Jason Orley and hailing from the Above Average production company.
Exhaling the smoke from his cigarette, the Saturday Night Live alum, 30, unwinds ahead of his upcoming performance in a black-and-white shot.
“Coming January 9th,” a mysterious voiceover begins. “A Netflix comedy special, Pete Davidson is Turbo Fonzarelli.”
“What the f— is a Turbo Fonzarelli?” the narrator quips.
Turbo Fonzarelli will be the comedian’s second hour-long special on the streamer. In 2020, Davidson made his Netflix debut with Pete Davidson: Alive in New York.
Davidson is currently taking his standup set on the road. His recent stops have included New Jersey, Ohio and Washington, D.C.
The Bupkis star also has upcoming performances in Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and Connecticut. He is resuming his tour in Minnesota on Friday after canceling multiple shows late last month due to “unforeseen circumstances.”
Davidson’s career has been on the rise after becoming an SNL breakout upon joining in 2014. He’s appeared in prominent projects across film and television, including The King of Staten Island, Bodies Bodies Bodies, Big Time Adolescence and The Suicide Squad.
Despite leaving the NBC sketch series in 2022, Davidson returned to his SNL roots in October to host an episode.
Davidson’s growing fame has sparked public interest in his love life, which is something he has expressed confusion about. “I’ve dated people — and for some reason, that’s very crazy and interesting to people. I don’t think it’s interesting,” he previously told Jon Bernthal on the Real Ones podcast.
“I’ve been in show business for, like, half my life almost — for 14 or 15 years and on a national TV show. In 12 years I’ve dated 10 people,” he added. “I don’t think that’s that crazy, but to some people, that’s very interesting.”
Turbo Fonzarelli premieres Jan. 9 on Netflix.
