It’s a podcast that is pretty self-explanatory.

Stand-up comedian Luke Mones, along with many others in his profession, is constantly asked by outsiders what it’s like to work and fellowship with some of the genre’s biggest names on a nightly basis.

Instead of answering each request one by one, Mones has decided to answer the masses in the form of his podcast titled Luke Mones Explained

Luke Mones: Luke Mones is a New York-based comedian, writer, and actor. Luke wrote and starred in the Comedy Central digital series Genies. In 2019 he was named an Up Next comedian by Comedy Central. He currently hosts a comedy news show for Inside Edition called The Breakdown. Luke has written material and made videos for the Howard Stern Show, and is frequently featured in videos on Funny Or Die and CollegeHumor. Luke has performed in festivals like Clusterfest, the New York Comedy Festival and the Laughing Devil Festival, where he won 1st Place. He has also performed at dozens of colleges around the country and headlined Carolines Comedy Club as part of their “Breakout Artist” series. Luke’s short “Early Decision” screened at the Cannes Film Festival, and his work has been written up in The AV Club, Tubefilter, and the Huffington Post.

This week, Luke is joined by his old pal, the hilarious JP McDade. Check out JP’s debut special, produced by @StavvyBaby, on Youtube in a few weeks. On this episode, the fellas talk about JP writing for the Tom Brady roast on Netflix, Luke finding out he was born with a smooth brain (actually), the Five Point Palm Exploding Heart Technique, and much more.

JP McDade: J.P. McDade is a stand up comedian and comedy writer based in New York City, originally from Newtown, Connecticut. He performs regularly at various comedy clubs, bars, and small theaters around New York and across the country. In 2016 J.P. performed on New Faces: Unrepped at the Just For Laughs festival in Montreal. He was named a finalist in New York’s Funniest 2017 and made his television debut that same year on Comedy Central’s Roast Battle II, filmed at the Comedy Cellar in New York. McDade has also appeared on two episodes of truTV’s Comedy Knockout.

As a writer, J.P. has worked on season 3 of Comedy Knockout, Sports Illustrated’s Sportsperson of the Year Awards, and as a contributing writer for the Comedy Central Roast of Alec Baldwin.
