Tommy Dassalo: With his youthful exuberance, charming storytelling and wickedly sharp turn-of-phrase, Tommy Dassalo has fast found himself amongst Australia’s most sought after young stand-up comedians and television writers and podcasters.

In 2005, he was a runner up in Triple J’s Raw Comedy Competition. Since then he has emerged as one of the most unique young voices in Australian comedy with a long list of diverse, impressive credits.

He is a regular fixture at Comedy Festivals across Australia, regularly selling out shows and racking up rave reviews from audiences and critics alike.

He has appeared on ABC’s ‘The Librarians’, ‘Sleuth 101’ and ‘Dirty Laundry Live’ and has written for top-rating and award-winning television shows, including ‘Talkin’ Bout Your Generation’, ‘Spicks and Specks’, ‘The Project’, ‘You’re Skitting Me’ and ‘This Week Live.’
He also hosts a weekly podcast ‘The Little Dum Dum Club’ with fellow comedian Karl Chandler – one of Australia’s most popular comedy podcasts. Each week, they chat with a different guest from the cream of Australia’s comedy crop. Past guests include Tim & Eric, Shaun Micallef, Yumi Stynes and Marc Maron. The show regularly cracks the iTunes top 10, and has amassed a loyal following of listeners both in Australia and overseas.

In 2014 he was invited to perform at the prestigious, invite-only San Francisco Sketchfest, appearing alongside the likes of Zach Galifianakis and Tenacious D, supported the legendary Bob Saget on his Australian tour, appeared at the Splendour In The Grass and Falls music festivals, filmed a role for season 2 of ABC’s It’s A Date, and shot a pilot for SBS online which he co-wrote with Tom Ballard.
