Netflix has finally released the trailer for That ‘90s Show Part 3, teasing the return of the sequel series to the hit sitcom That ’70s Show.
The trailer highlights the “trouble” the characters will face for the teen sitcom’s next installment, including a car crashing through the Forman family’s humble abode, teenage love dilemmas, and more.
Initially scheduled for an October 2024 release, That ‘90s Show Part 3 will be coming sooner than expected, set to arrive on the streamer on August 22.
Picking up 15 years after the events in That ’70s Show, the sequel comedy follows Leia Forman (Callie Haverda) as she spends her summer with her grandparents in Point Place, Wisconsin.
In addition to Haverda, That ‘90s Show also stars Ashley Aufderheide as Gwen Runck, Maxwell Acee Donovan as Nate Runck, Sam Morelos as Nikki Velasco, Mace Coronel as Jay Kelso, and Reyn Doi as Ozzie Takada, among others. It also features the return That ‘70s Show stars Debra Jo Rupp as Kitty Forman, Kurtwood Smith as Red Forman, and Laura Prepon as Donna Pinciotti.
The official synopsis for That ‘90s Show reads as follows: “It’s 1996 and Leia Forman is back in Point Place for another summer of fun with her friends and grandparents, Kitty and Red. Part 3 picks up right back in the Forman kitchen – where Red and Kitty return from Paris to find a giant hole in the wall. And this isn’t even the biggest crisis Leia has to face. New relationships are formed, old ones move to the next level. Friendships are tested and just when things seem to be working out, a blast from the past returns to blow it all up again. With Summer break winding down, the gang has to come to terms with Leia leaving them again, but this time she’s not going without a fight.”
That ‘90s Show Part 3 hits Netflix on August 22.
