Netflix has shared the trailer for Ali Wong’s new comedy special Single Lady.

In the show, Ali Wong opens up about post-divorce life and THE QUEST for love. The special was filmed at The Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles, CA as part of Netflix Is a Joke Fest 2024 and will premiere on October 8, 2024 only on Netflix.

This marks Ali’s fourth original comedy special on Netflix, including Ali Wong: Don Wong, Ali Wong: Baby Cobra and Ali Wong: Hard Knock Wife. Wong directs and serves as Executive Producer, alongside John Irwin.

Ali can also be seen on Netflix in her Emmy winning performance in the drama series BEEF, alongside the comedy film Always Be My Maybe. She also lends her voice to Netflix’s Ask the StoryBots, Ada Twist, Scientist, Emmy winning adult animated comedy Big Mouth, and the upcoming series Jentry Chau vs. the Underworld.

Ali Wong: She was a main cast member on the ABC television show American Housewife. Previously, she appeared on Are You There, Chelsea?Inside Amy Schumer, and Black Box. She also wrote for the first three seasons of the sitcom Fresh Off the Boat. Wong voices title character Roberta “Bertie” Songthrush, a polite songbird and aspiring baker on the critically acclaimed animated series Tuca & Bertie and new student “Ali” on the hit series Big Mouth.

Wong was included in Time‘s 100 Most Influential People of 2020.

After graduating from college, 23-year-old Wong tried stand-up comedy at Brainwash Cafe. She soon moved to New York City to pursue comedy, and began to perform up to nine times a night.

In 2011, Variety named her one of the “10 Comics to Watch”. Soon after, she appeared on The Tonight ShowJohn Oliver’s New York Stand Up Show and Dave Attell’s Comedy Underground Show. She was also cast as series regular in the NBC comedy series Are You There, Chelsea? and appeared on Chelsea Lately. After that, she was in VH1’s Best Week Ever and MTV’s Hey Girl in 2013. Additionally, she starred in Oliver Stone’s Savages, opposite Benicio Del Toro and Salma Hayek, and as Kate in the film Dealin’ with Idiots.
