Matteo Lane has announced a new stand-up special to stream on Hulu.

The comedian will tape the hour on Oct. 24 at the Eli and Edythe Broad Stage in Santa Monica. A release date has yet to be announced.

“I am thrilled to be part of the Disney Hulu family. This is the closest I’ll get to becoming the 5th Golden Girl,” Lane said in a statement.

Lane’s next special joins the lineup of Hulu’s new comedy brand, Hularious. Kicking off in November, the series also features specials from Jim Gaffigan, Bill Burr, Ilana Glazer, Roy Wood Jr., Atsuko Okatsuka, Jessica Kirson and Chris Distefano.

As part of the initiative, Hulu is also launching a curated collection of licensed stand-up specials including recent releases from 800 Pound Gorilla, Comedy Dynamics and Don’t Tell Comedy, among others.

Lane, who was a previous Variety 10 Comics to Watch honoree, is a Chicago-born comedian whose latest “Al Dente Tour” took him to New York’s Carnegie Hall and Washington, D.C.’s Kennedy Center. He is currently on his “Can’t Stop Talking Tour,” which kicked off in the summer and will run through next year.

In addition to his stand-up comedy specials, his screen credits include the Amazon original rom-com “Upgraded,” Michelle Buteau’s Netflix comedy series “Survival of the Thickest” and the feature film “Molli & Max in the Future.” He also appeared in Netflix’s all-queer stand-up special “Outstanding: A Comedy Revolution.”

Before beginning a career in Hollywood, Matteo lived in Italy as an oil painter and classically trained opera singer.
