In his first stand-up comedy special in over 30 years, veteran comic and Emmy-nominated actor Paul Reiser discloses the secret to successful downsizing, explains why the whole “Do unto others” thing doesn’t work in marriage, and why boiling pasta naked is never a good idea. And for absolutely no additional charge, you will come to understand why finding raisins in rice pudding underscores the very meaning of life.
Comedy Dynamics Founder Brian Volk-Weiss is directing and will exec produce alongside Cisco Henson, Reiser, and Michael Pelmont. Said Volk-Weiss, “Knowing and working with Paul on the Mad About You reboot, There’s… Johnny!, and other productions, have been some of the absolute highlights of my life! And a lot of laughs along the way!”
An 11-time Emmy nominee, Reiser is perhaps best known for starring opposite Helen Hunt on the NBC sitcom Mad About You, which ran for seven seasons and spurred a recent revival from Spectrum.
A television writer, author and musician, in addition to a comic and actor, he’s also recently been seen on shows like Reboot (Hulu) and The Boys (Amazon), as well as the Netflix hits Stranger Things and The Kominsky Method.
Over the last decade, Comedy Dynamics, a Nacelle company, has become one of the largest independent producers and distributors of comedy, having produced award-winning comedy specials for Kevin Hart, Ali Wong, Pete Davidson, Tiffany Haddish, Jim Gaffigan, Tom Segura, Iliza Shlesinger, Jimmy O. Yang, Ilana Glazer, Eddie Izzard, Joel McHale, and David Cross, among many others.
Past projects from the company, in addition to the aforementioned, include Netflix’s Emmy winner Down to Earth with Zac Efron, The Movies That Made Us, The Toys That Made Us, Behind The Attraction for Disney+, Netflix’s Kevin Hart’s Guide to Black History, The CW’s Discontinued, All The Way Black for BET+, Animal Planet’s Animal Nation with Anthony Anderson, History’s Join or Die with Craig Ferguson, MTV2’s Wild ‘N On Tour, and History’s Center Seat: 55 Years of Star Trek, to name just a few.
