Next month sees the sequel to “A Simple Favor” coming exclusively to Amazon Prime Video, and the streaming service has sent us a new trailer for “Another Simple Favor” promoting the film’s release on May 1.
Stephanie and Emily reunite for another dark adventure together, this time set in the visually stunning setting of Capri, Italy, and focusing around Emily’s exorbitant wedding to a wealthy Italian businessman. But, nothing as it seems as murder, betrayal and twists are on the docket for the dark comedy.
Paul Feig (“Bridesmaids”) directs the Italian-set sequel from a script penned by Jessica Sharzer (“A Simple Favor”) and Laeta Kalogridis (“Altered Carbon”), which is based on characters created by author Darcey Bell.
The cast for Another Simple Favor features Anna Kendrick, Blake Lively, Andrew Rannells, Bashir Salahuddin, Elizabeth Perkins, Michele Morrone, Alex Newell, Elena Sofia Ricci, Henry Golding, and Allison Janney.
