Steph Tolev Set To Make Netflix Comedy Special Debut w/ “Fifth Queen” On June 24th

Well-liked Canadian comic Steph Tolev is set to unveil her first Netflix comedy specialFilth Queen, on June 24.

Filmed at the Paradise Rock Club in Boston, the hour is produced by Bill Burr of All Things Comedy, who told Deadline, “The first time I saw Steph Tolev was a promotion video she made for a New York City show. I Immediately fell in love with her and her Comedy. One of the most uninhibited original voices out there today. I love everything about her!”

Known for her brand of raw, no-holds-barred, and unfiltered comedy, Tolev is a frequent collaborator of Burr’s who broke out with a short set in Bill Burr Presents: Friends Who Kill, a special also featuring comics Michelle Wolf, Jimmy Carr, Dave Attell, and Ronny Chieng, among others. She followed that with a scene-stealing role in Burr’s 2023 Netflix comedy Old Dads and played herself during a Deborah Vance roast scene on the acclaimed HBO Max comedy Hacks.

A regular at The Comedy Store in Los Angeles, who has headlined across the country on her Filth Queen and Keepin ‘Em Hard tours, Tolev has also previously released the stand-up albums Hot N’ Hungry and I’m Not Well, earning a Juno Award nomination for the latter. Next up for her as an actress is the second season of Shane Gillis’ Netflix series Tires, which premieres in June.
