Netflix is once again hosting a showcase of up-and-coming comedians for its annual Netflix Is a Joke Festival.
Dubbed “Introducing…,” the showcase will feature 10 stand-ups who will each perform a 5-7 minute set across two shows in one night. The event takes place on May 8 at the Avalon in Hollywood, with showtimes at 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.
The sets will be recorded and edited, and then uploaded to Netflix Is a Joke’s YouTube channel and social platforms.

Nick Murphy: Nick Murphy is a stand-up comedian based out of Atlanta, GA. He is a regular performer at Atlanta’s Punchline Comedy Club and Laughing Skull Lounge, having worked with acts including Ron White, Jim Jeffries, and the Lucas Brothers. He was selected to perform in the 2024 Moontower & Netflix Is A Joke Comedy Festivals. Nick credits his abilities onstage to years of observation, life experience and hard work while his beautiful, supportive mother prefers to take all the credit herself.
