On Friday night, renowned comedian Anjelah Johnson-Reyes, delivered a sold-out performance at the legendary Ryman Auditorium in Nashville as part of her global The Family ReunionTour.
Ahead of the performance, leading comedy media company 800 Pound Gorilla presented Johnson-Reyes with a special plaque commemorating 30 million combined views of her hit specials Say I Won’t and Technically Not Stalking across their network.

Solidifying herself as a standout comedic force, Anjelah Johnson-Reyes has racked up six comedy specials streaming across multiple platforms and a track record of selling out theaters worldwide. Her most recent special, Say I Won’t, debuted on YouTube in May 2023 and has already surpassed 9.4 million views. Anjelah Johnson-Reyes recently released a Spanish translation of Say I Won’t via 800 Pound Gorilla’s YouTube channel. She is the first comedian from the 800 Pound Gorilla catalog to dub a full special, making it more accessible to a Spanish speaking audience.
Born and raised in San Jose, California, and of Mexican and Native American descent, Johnson-Reyes has made an impact far beyond the stand-up stage. Her television credits include Life & Beth, Superstore, The Shield, Ugly Betty, and Curb Your Enthusiasm. On the film side, she has appeared in Enough Said, Our Family Wedding, and Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel.
In 2022, she added “author” to her résumé with her debut memoir, Who Do I Think I Am?: Stories of Chola Wishes and Caviar Dreams. Johnson-Reyes most recently starred alongside Eddie Murphy and Tracee Ellis Ross in the Amazon Prime feature Candy Cane Lane.
In 2024, she returned for Season 2 of Hulu’s Life & Beth and hosted the 8-episode Tubi original series My Crazy Quince. In 2024 she also launched Funjelah, her comedy-meets-mental-health podcast where she and her guests explore gratitude and personal growth through humor and heart.
Johnson-Reyes is currently in the midst of her massive “The Family Reunion Tour”, set to span more than 100 shows across major theaters worldwide throughout 2025–2026.
