Mike Murphy and John Grimes are two comedians bringing their unique perspectives to the wild world of comedy.

From outrageous scenarios to unbelievable stories, they tackle every topic with humor and creativity. Join them for laugh-out-loud moments and unpredictable entertainment.

Mike Murphy: Mike Murphy is a father, comedian, actor, writer, and US Army Veteran. Mike grew up in Garfield, a neighborhood in the inner city of Pittsburgh, in the late 90s and early 2000s. Mike enjoyed being the center of attention by making people laugh. Mike’s intelligence, coupled with the gift of gab, helped him transform himself into Comedian Mike Murphy.

Mike was first introduced to comedy while owning a dump truck business when a friend suggested he sign up to do stand-up comedy at the Pittsburgh Improv. After his first time on stage, Mike knew comedy was his Happy place and his calling. Love, at first sight, some might call it. Mike’s first big break was in 2019 when he opened up for DC Young Fly in front of more than one thousand people. After that performance, he dissolved his dump truck business and moved to Los Angeles, California to fulfill his dream as a Comedian.

Since moving to LA Mike has performed with Legends such as Dave Chappelle, Gary Owen, David Arnold, Earthquake, Mark Curry and Deray Davis as well as touring with Tony Rock. You can see him perform live all over Los Angeles at places like the World Famous Comedy Store, The Laugh Factory, and The Hollywood Improv.

On this episode of The Mike Murphy Show, Mike Murphy sits down with comedian and actor Naim Lynn and the conversation goes everywhere comedy isn’t supposed to go anymore. From controversial jokes that spark outrage to the unspoken politics behind comedy clubs, theaters, and arenas, the guys break down what really moves the needle in today’s stand-up game. They dive into whether featuring can quietly trap comics in career limbo, how social media has completely rewired success, and why bombing can either build you or make you quit for good. The episode also gets personal, touching on fatherhood, being a girl dad, and the strange pressure of putting out a special that doesn’t land the way you hoped. Add in stories about international shows, unexpected advice from Snoop Dogg, and the reality of trying to break through in a post-90s comedy landscape, and this one turns into an unfiltered look at the wins, losses, and contradictions of modern stand-up.
