Hartbeat‘s stand-up showcase series LOL Live is set to return to Hulu with 12 new half-hour specials, beginning with one from Chaunté Wayans that premieres June 19.

Hartbeat launched LOL Live in 2025 in an effort to champion emerging talent and be a driving force behind the revival of the half-hour comedy special, which has often been a useful stepping stone for comedians rising up in the ranks and is seen much less these days.

This year’s lineup also features specials from Matt Richards, Bresha Webb, Alfred Robles, Just Nesh, Comedian CP, Tacarra Williams, Jason Cheny, Dulcé Sloan, Sydney Castillo, Paris Sashay and Lance Woods, which will roll out once a month through May 2027.

“LOL Live was created to showcase great comedians and connect audiences with voices they may not have discovered yet,” said Eric Weil, Vice President of Comedy at Hartbeat. “The response to the first slate demonstrated a strong appetite for stand-up comedy that feels fresh, authentic, and reflective of today’s comedy landscape. This new group of performers represents an exciting mix of established talent and rising stars, and we’re thrilled to continue growing the franchise while helping reintroduce the classic half-hour special to a new generation of comedy fans.”

Jeff Clanagan, Hartbeat’s Co-Founder, President and Chief Distribution Officer added, “Comedy remains one of the most powerful ways to connect with audiences, and LOL Live continues to be an important platform for identifying and amplifying exceptional talent. We’re proud to continue building a franchise that not only delivers great comedy but creates meaningful opportunities for emerging and established comedians alike.”

Hartbeat taped the new specials at WePlay Studios in Inglewood, California. They’re produced by Jeff Clanagan and executive produced by Kevin Hart, Luke Kelly-Clyne and Eric Weil for Hartbeat, alongside Valarie Benning Thompson.

The specials are directed by Marcus Russell Price.
