After More Than 30 Years of Making Audiences Laugh, the Beloved Comedian Returns to His San Diego Roots for His First-Ever Hour-Long Stand-Up Special, Premiering November 27th.
After more than three decades of unforgettable performances, outrageous storytelling, and becoming one of comedy’s most recognizable personalities, Bobby Lee is finally giving fans what they’ve been waiting for: his very first hour-long stand-up comedy special.
Appropriately titled Bobby Lee: Finally, the highly anticipated special will premiere exclusively on Hulu on November 27, marking a monumental milestone in the Korean American comedian’s legendary career.
The newly released trailer offers audiences their first glimpse into the long-awaited project, featuring Lee’s signature blend of unpredictable humor, brutally honest observations, and hilarious reflections on growing up in a Korean immigrant household.
In the preview, Lee hilariously explores the unfiltered honesty of his immigrant parents, turning childhood experiences and cultural differences into laugh-out-loud moments that showcase the fearless comedic personality fans have embraced for decades.
Filmed at the historic Balboa Theatre in his hometown of San Diego, California, Finally represents more than another comedy special. It’s a full-circle moment for an entertainer who has spent over 30 years building a career through stand-up, television, film, and podcasting while somehow never releasing a full-length special of his own.
For longtime fans, the title says everything.
Despite becoming a household name through his memorable run on MADtv, countless television and film appearances, and his massively popular podcasts, Lee’s journey toward recording his debut special has been anything but conventional.
Throughout his career, Lee has openly discussed the fear, insecurity, and self-doubt that prevented him from taking the leap into filming a full-length stand-up performance. Now, after years of personal growth and professional success, the comedian is embracing the opportunity to share his comedy on an entirely new level.
The special arrives during an exciting chapter in Lee’s career.
In addition to recording his debut hour, Lee recently embarked on his first-ever headlining comedy tour, bringing his uniquely chaotic and deeply personal brand of humor to audiences across the country.
He has also continued expanding his entertainment empire alongside fellow comedian Andrew Santino through their wildly successful podcast Bad Friends. The duo recently introduced The Bad Friends Game Show, an extension of the podcast’s unpredictable chemistry and comedic energy.
Behind the scenes, Bobby Lee: Finally brings together an impressive creative team.
Produced by North Hill Productions and directed by comedian and filmmaker Louis Katz, the special features Lee as an executive producer alongside comedy superstar Bill Burr and Mike Bertolina.
With Burr’s involvement and Katz’s direction, the project represents a significant collaboration among established voices in stand-up comedy.
For a performer whose career has been defined by taking risks, pushing boundaries, and making audiences uncomfortable in the funniest ways possible, Finally offers an opportunity to celebrate the journey that made Bobby Lee one of comedy’s most beloved and unconventional entertainers.
And while the trailer offers a hilarious preview of his childhood experiences, much of the special’s material remains under wraps, leaving fans wondering what other outrageous stories and unexpected revelations Lee has prepared.
One thing is certain: after 30-plus years of comedy, Bobby Lee has plenty to talk about.
Bobby Lee: Finally premieres exclusively on Hulu on Friday, November 27, 2026.
For comedy fans who have followed his journey from San Diego comedy clubs to international recognition, the wait is almost over.
Thirty years in the making. One unforgettable comedian. And finally, his first special.
