How did you discover your passion for comedy:
By taking Chip Fields acting class and she said I was making every scene comedic.

What do I remember most about my first time performing:
My belt buckle breaking and my pants kept falling down, but still performed very well.

How would I describe my comedic style:
More of a personal and clever type style. Energetic.

Describe the comedy scene in your area:
My area is very cliquish. It’s really based on who you know and hanging around the right people to get stage time.

How would you judge success in the comedy world:
When you get to the point where you’re not afraid of a bit doesn’t work, you’ve reached your comfort zone and found your voice. Now you’re on the road to being successful.

Who are some of your comedic peers that you enjoy watching perform or inspire you personally and professionally:
Some peers that I enjoy are Barry Brewer, Tre Williamson, Tahir Moore, and London Brown.

What’s been your most memorable moment in comedy:
My most memorable moment is when I performed at the Sacramento Memorial Auditorium in front of 4800 people. I did a 30 min set and sold all of my merch.

What have you learned most from your failures in comedy:
I’ve learned that what matters the most is you’re confident on stage. It’s being comfortable and confident that allows you to grow and be successful.

How do people react towards you when they realize that you can make people laugh:
They always think I’m so cool and then they hit you with the “Say something funny….” and that’s when I just walk away.

Describe what it’s been like building a career in stand-up comedy:
It’s a journey, it’s a marathon, it’s patience, but it’s also one of the best feelings in the world once you start getting paid for your work.

Best advice you’ve ever received from a comedian:
The best advice I’ve received from a comic was don’t be afraid to talk about your pain and be truthful on stage.

If you were releasing a comedy special this week, what would it be called:
It would be called “ I Need Urgent Care”

Funniest encounter you’ve ever had with a celebrity:
The funniest encounter would have to be when I met Gabrielle Union. She was drunk and I was trying to holla at her and her friends grabbed her before she was going to give me her phone number.

Weirdest place you’ve ever performed any form of comedy:
When I performed at a homegoing/funeral service for a person I didn’t know.

A Chris Sneed Fun Fact:
People don’t know I do a good impression of the comedian Earthquake.

Where would you like your laughs to take you:
I would like to travel the world, act in films, and just inspire people to be great. To never give up on their dreams.

What would you tell a potential comedian if they ask you how they can own the laughs:
Stay committed, stay writing, and stay networking.

What are your thoughts on the future of comedy:
I think the future of comedy will be based on your social media as far as booking and selling out crowds. It’s all about numbers now and who’s following you.

If you could write one episode for one classic TV sitcom which show would be and give a brief detailed sentence on the episode:
I would write an episode of Martin. That episode would be about Martin and Gina getting back together and having kids. Their son would continue the classic show.

If you could choose 1 comedy club and 3 comedians to perform with on your perfect comedy show, how would it go:
I would choose The Comedy Union in LA. The three comics I would choose is Cedric The Entertainer, Dave Chappelle, and Jamie Foxx.

What next for you:
My comedy special.

Why should a person always laugh at life:
Because it’s short and comedy is really a healer.
