It’s been four years since we last caught up with the cast of Netflix award-winning comedy classic Master of None, but that’s all about to change in 2021. The digital streaming service just announced that the show will be returning for an all-new third season in May.
Created by Aziz Ansari and Alan Yang, this season is expected to follow Lena Waithe’s character Denise and her journey through love and relationship. The show hiatus has been due in large part to Ansari’s public sexual assault allegations and Waithe’s other high-profile projects such as The Chi, Queen & Slim, and Them. Ansari did finally return to the public eye in 2019 as he released his Netflix stand-up special Right Now where he address his allegations.
It’s unknown at this point how much we will see Aziz’s character Dev in the upcoming season, but with a four year absence, fans are excited to see one of the highest-rated shows in TV history return.
