Southern California comedian Gina Brillon returns to compete in the semi-finals of NBC’s popular talent competition series America’s Got Talent. During her performance, Brillon shares some funny details on being a new parent, planning a wedding with rude girlfriends, and comfortable clothing for any occasion.
Gina began her career as a stand-up comedian in 1997, and eventually conducted her first television performance in 2007. In 2012, she won a place on NBC’s Stand-Up for Diversity Showcase and a year later took part in the Montréal Just for Laughs Festival in 2013. In 2015, she released her first comedy special, Gina Brillon: Pacifically Speaking, produced by comedian Gabriel Iglesias, and released a podcast, Mess In Progress: A Homegirls Guide To Self-Help, which she co-hosted with Katherine G. Mendoza. She later made appearances on the CBS show Kevin Can Wait, ABC shows The Conners, HA Festival: The Art of Comedy on HBO Max, and Jimmy Kimmel Live!. Brillon released a second comedy special, Gina Brillon: Easily Offended, in 2019, and a third special, Gina Brillon: The Floor is Lava, in 2020 on Amazon Prime Video. In 2021, her The Floor is Lava special won a Gracie Award while receiving a nomination for an Imagen Awards. She came to national prominence when she appeared on the 16th season of America’s Got Talent and later went on to produce an online podcast.
