Showcasing all the humor and heartbreak that comes with the search for love, HBO Max’s Love Life is romantic comedy anthology series following interconnected millennials as they chart unexpected paths towards finding their soulmates. The first season saw Darby (Anna Kendrick) looking for love as her insecurities bubble to the surface.
Season 2 centers around Darby’s acquaintance, Marcus Watkins (William Jackson Harper). In 2016, Marcus would encounter a chance meeting with a magnetic Mia Hines (Jessica Williams) while attending Darby’s wedding. The meeting would cause Marcus to become increasingly infatuated with his new friend, leading to major problems in his marriage with his wife Emily.
Forced to rebuild his life after his marriage implodes and hopes to find love that will last. Set against the backdrop of New York City and spanning the course of several years, each installment finds Marcus learning that every relationship and fling brings them closer to their “person,” even if they don’t know it yet.
