Kanye West Wants Michael Che To Leave “Saturday Night Live” Over Pete Davidson

Kanye West is making it known that he is none too happy with Pete Davidson.

The beef with Davidson directly stems from the Saturday Night Live star’s current relationship with West’s ex-wife, Kim Kardashian. Davidson’s relationship with Kardashian sprouted when Kardashian hosted SNL last year. As West is known to be vocal about what’s happening in the world, he’s become increasingly more vocal about Davidson in recent weeks.

For starters, Davidson is directly name-dropped in West’s new song, “Eazy”. In it, he raps the lyrics “This afternoon, a hundred goons pullin’ up to SNL (What?). When I pull up, it’s dead on arrival.” There’s a lot of not-so-subtle feelings on display there. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out what (and who) he is referring to.

This weekend, West also took to Instagram with a bunch of bizarre posts that have all since been deleted. Some of these posts included an old rumor that Davidson took lewd photos of himself and Ariana Grande and texted them to Grande’s ex Mac Miller shortly before his death, claims Ariana’s brother has denied. West also called out Davidson for having a Hillary Clinton tattoo on his leg and shared a text he received from Davidson saying he doesn’t want to come in between West and his kids, West then replied that he doesn’t want Davidson anywhere near his kids.

As if this beef between Kanye West is starting with Pete Davidson isn’t enough, he took it a step further by urging SNL head writer and Weekend Update host, Michael Che to leave the show essentially in solidarity. West wrote “I’LL DOUBLE WHATEVER THEY PAYING YOU JUST SO YOU DONT HAVE TO LOOK AT THAT PAWN EVER AGAIN BIG LOVE.”

We’re not exactly sure what services West would be paying him for should Che have taken him up on his offer. It’s a very strange twist in an already incredibly strange story.

In his trademark manner, Che took to Instagram and decided to have some fun with it at Kanye’s expense. Posting a series of handwritten notes addressing the situation.

“Sorry Ye, but I would never betray my friends,” Che wrote before adding “for anything less than triple salary.” Che’s joke stipulations included tripling his pay (to $90k a year), full medical, dental, a corner office, a pair of Red Octobers, and a heads up about what West will be wearing each day so they could be twins and match.
