Pete Davidson To Star In “Bupkis”

For the last few years, Pete Davidson has gone from being just a cast member on SNL to constantly being in the public eye. Much of this stems from his very-public relationships. And for his next show, Davidson will be playing a fictionalized version of himself, not unlike Curb Your Enthusiasm. (Which is created by and starring his ex-girlfriend’s dad, Larry David).

Davidson is currently writing the show Bupkis with Dave Sirus and Judah Miller. The series, which will be produced by Lorne Michaels, is described as being a raw and fictionalized version of Davidson’s life. The show is also said to feature what is described as “R-rated storytelling.” So maybe expect something pretty dark from this one.

Lately, Davidson has been a mainstay in the tabloid headlines, as he’s been in a relationship with Kim Kardashian for a number of months. Kardashian recently discussed Davidson in a new Variety profile. As a result of their relationship, Davidson has been the target of ire from Kardashian’s estranged husband Kanye West.

Last year, Davidson was cast as punk rocker Joey Ramone in the upcoming biopic I Slept With Joey Ramone. And, in 2020, he starred in Judd Apatow’s The King of Staten Island, a movie that also took cues from Davidson’s real life.

Additional casting is still in the works. But this could be the big project that has seen Davidson absent from SNL for the past few weeks.
