You can tell a lot about a person’s career by the way they travel for work. If you’re a comedian and Spirit Airlines is your means of transportation, your career may have potential, but still, a very long way to go. During a performance at Chocolate Sundaes inside The Laugh Factory, comedian Cody Woods explains how his last plane ride on Spirit almost got him “canceled.”

Cody Woods has appeared on Hulu, Season 3 of Comedy Central’s Hart of the City, The Comedy Shaq Network, as well as the Emmy nominated show, Mind Field. Woods had aspirations of being a comedian at the age of five. Coming from a bleak upbringing with a single mother in a trailer, Woods frequently switched schools while often finding himself being the ethnic minority in his classes and used his humor to win friends and prevent bullying. Over the years Woods opened for Dave Attell, Paul Mooney, Tom Segura, Bruce Bruce, Charlie Murphy, Steve O, Todd Glass, and many more. In 2014 Woods toured for the USO entertaining the troops in Japan as well as the NACA college circuit. In 2015 he was a finalist in the Cabo San Lucas Comedy Festival. In 2019 he was handpicked by Kevin Hart to showcase on Comedy Central.
