One of the biggest names in comedy will give some of his closest family and friends the opportunity of a lifetime as they headline their first comedy special in Marlon Wayans Presents: The Headliners.
The Wayans are arguably the most accomplished family in comedy, led by brothers Kenan Ivory Wayans and Damon Wayans. They are recognized for their iconic sketch comedy show In Living Color; The Wayans built a strong reputation for discovering many of comedy’s most historic stars, including Jim Carrey, Jamie Foxx, David Alan Grier, and Tommy Davidson. Marlon Wayans will look to continue the family legacy as he showcases several hilarious comedians who have served as the opening act at his performances all over the country. Starring Tony Baker, Sydney Castillo, DC Ervin, Esau McGraw, and Chaunté Wayans, for one particular night, these comedians will be transformed from show openers to main event headliners.

An icon film and TV actor for over two decades, Marlon Wayans, is best known for his roles in The Wayans Bros., White Chicks, The Sixth Man, and G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra. Wayans began his stand-up comedy career in the mid-2010s, highlighted by his debut Netflix special Woke-ish in 2018. He would release his debut HBO comedy special entitled You Know What It Is in August 2021.
A stand-up comedian originally from Chicago, Illinois, Tony Baker has been making people laugh for nearly a decade, blessing stages worldwide with his unique brand of humor and style. In addition to being seen performing at the hottest comedy clubs around the country and organically making millions of people laugh worldwide with his legendary viral voiceover videos on social media, Tony Baker’s comedic skills have landed him on the big screen and on television: finalist on NBC’s The Last Comic Standing, NBC’s The Carmichael Show, HBO’s All DEF Comedy, Tru TV’s Laff Mobb’s Laff Tracks, the Academy Award-nominated movie Whiplash, and his 2018 debut Comedy unique Scaredy Cat.
Originally raised in Fort Worth, Texas, Sydney Castillo is a former winner of TBS’ Funniest Wins and has appeared in 50 Shades of Black, FX’s The League, B.E.T.’s, Real Husband’s of Hollywood. He’s also produced for Bounce TV, B.E.T., and as of recent he wrote an episode and guest-starred on NBC’s sitcom, Marlon. He’s written and appeared on Comedy Central’s Hood Adjacent and #TheRightTime w/ Bomani Jones, Performed stand-up on HBO”s All Def Comedy and Tru TV’s Laff Tracks.
Derrick Ervin is growing into his comedian persona as DC Ervin. A Vallejo, California native Ervin has been working for over a decade in comedy but studied the craft almost his entire life. Since his early childhood, Ervin watched a variety of comedians while sitting through comedy shows as his father David Ervin performed. After finishing school at 22, Ervin told his family and friends he would try comedy for six months. If he didn’t make it after that, he’d settle down and get a “regular” job. From there his career took off, performing on several USO tours in Portugal, Spain, Italy, Greece, Jordan, and Lebanon. Along with touring with Marlon Wayans, Ervin has appeared in Fifty Shades of Black (2016), Suicide Roadtrip, and She Wins. He has also been a writer for Last Comic Standing.
Kansas City Missouri native Esau McGraw is one of the original members of the improv group PCP (The Phat Comedy Players) where he often played up to eight characters in one night. Audiences adore his quirky down-to-earth characters making him one of the most sought-after comics in the country. Esau currently hosts Chocolate Sundaes one of the most popular comedy shows in Los Angeles at the world-famous Laugh Factory. His television credits include Showtime’s Big Black Comedy Show BET’s Comic View and One Mic Stand Jamie Foxx Presents Russell Simmons Def Comedy Jam and Martin Lawrence presents 1st Amendment Stand-Up to name a few. He made his film debut in Idlewild as the character Stuttering Sonny appeared in Dance Fu directed by Cedric the Entertainer and was featured in the hit stage play What My Husband Doesn’t Know.
Chaunte Wayans is a comedian, writer, and actress who proudly represents the new generation of Wayans’ legacy-making its mark in Hollywood. She was last seen in the film 50 Shades of Black, with other film and television credits including Hollywood Misconceptions, Dance Flick, TLC’s Trading Spaces, Bounce TV’s Off The Chain, and Nicktoon’s animated series, The Boo Crew. As a comedian, she has toured a nationally wowing audience with her unique brand of comedy featuring comedic veterans such as Katt Williams, Russell Peters, and her uncles Marlon, Shawn, and Damon Wayans. Her comedic talent led her to become a featured cast member on MTV’s hit sketch comedy series Nick Cannon Presents: Wild N’ Out. Chaunte can also be seen on Katt Williams comedy special Kattpacalypse. Chaunte has been showcased as a writer as part of CBS’ Diversity Showcase 2017. Recently she has featured on 50 Cent’s 50 Central on Bet. Currently, you can see her featured on TruTV’s Laff Tracks.
