How did you discover your passion for comedy:
It was a dark upbringing.

What do you remember most about your first time performing stand-up comedy:
I was horrible because I let my friend write something for me and it was about wolves in a mall. I bombed horribly and then blames him from the stage, and then they laughed. They needed it.

How would you describe your comedic style:
Loose if you will.

Describe your process for comedic writing:
I improvise most and draw from there.

Describe the comedy scene in your area:
It’s amazing. I live in LA.

How do you judge success in the world of comedy:
If ya get paid and continue to get better, no matter how good you think you are.

Who are some of your comedic peers that you enjoy watching perform or inspire you personally and professionally:
Ali Macofsky Jessica Kirson, Bobby Lee, Jesus Trejo, Dave Merheje, Margaret Cho, & Maria Bamford

What’s been your most memorable moment in comedy:
Bombing at bringer shows.

What have you learned most from your failures in comedy:
You can always get better.

How do people react towards you when they realize that you can make people laugh:
They like it.

Describe what it’s been like building a career in stand-up comedy:
If you really want to get good, don’t quit.

Best advice you’ve ever received from a comedian:
“Get good.” Don’t worry about being famous, fame is easy. Getting good is hard. Just get good.”

If you were releasing a comedy special this week, what would it be called:
“I’m Trying”

Funniest encounter you’ve ever had with a celebrity:
I gave Victoria Jackson toilet paper for her to autograph cuz it was the only dang paper I could find. She was appalled and didn’t sign it.

Weirdest place you’ve ever performed any form of comedy:
A saloon in a Colorado car called the “Goldpan” with no mic and no one listening. My mom was there. Brutal!

A Sarah Hyland Fun Fact:
I wanted ear surgery when I was a kid to sew my ears to my head, cuz I thought they were too big.

Where would you like your laughs to take you:
On a TV show or hell, why not the movies?

What are your thoughts on the future of comedy:
We stop canceling people. It’s really out of hand.

If you could write one episode for one classic TV sitcom, which show would it be and give a brief detailed sentence on the episode:
The Facts of Life. The episode would end with an all-girl wrestling mud match, and tutti wins, and she still has skates on.

If you could choose 1 comedy club and 3 comedians to perform with on your perfect comedy show, how would it go:
The Comedy Store. Bobby Lee, Maria Bamford, and Dave Merheje

What’s next for you:
A podcast at The Comedy Store and writing an hour special. We will see after that

Why should a person always laugh at life:
Cuz it’s silly, and life is very short. Plus, we’re floating on a planet in space that is infinite. It ain’t that serious.
