During a recent appearance on the Sundae Scoop Podcast, comedians London Brown (HBO “Ballers” and Starz “Raising Kanan”) and Trey Elliot (HBO “Hacks”) have had their fair share of rejection. Whether it’s bombing on stage or hearing the dreaded “thank you, we’ll be in touch” after a TV audition, they never quit – and that’s probably why they get paid the big bucks… and we don’t.

Trey Elliot: Laughter can solve any problem, which is why it’s not farfetched to call Trey Elliot the comedic problem solver. While entertaining his co-workers, a small dare to perform live comedy on stage is what launched his comedic chain reaction leading to today. Trey hit the stage for the first time in 2002 at the World’s Famous Uptown Comedy Corner in downtown Atlanta, GA. Since then, Trey’s comedy has catapulted and he has never looked back. Following the greats and his comedic icons, Trey moved to Maryland/Washington DC where he began to blossom and hone his skills as a comedian. In 2009 Trey’s skills launched him the opportunity to move to the land of dreams, Los Angeles, California. Where he now resides taking his comic career Throughout his career, one of his most rewarding accomplishments was touring internationally to Singapore, Diego Garcia and Afghanistan with the troops for Armed Forces Entertainment. Trey has appeared on “Stann’dup Comedy Show” on Starz, Aspire TV, BET Coming to the Stage, The Last Comic Standing, Def Comedy Jam, NBC Stand Up for Diversity, Comedy Central, and Headliner for the U.S. Troops overseas with Armed Forces Entertainment.

London Brown: Born and raised in Los Angeles, London is a trained actor, dancer and comedian. He stars on the HBO series “Ballers” opposite Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Previously he was the lead in “The Hustle” for The Fuse Network which was created and produced by Prentice Penny. London also won Best International Comedian at the 2013 Black Comedy Awards in the UK and has opened on the road for Chris Tucker and many other headliners. Brown currently stars as “Marvin” on Starz’s Power Book III: Raising Kanan.
