What do you remember most about your first time performing stand-up comedy:
How hard I bombed. I learned two things…
1. People will laugh because you’re funny
2. People will also laugh to get you to shut the fuck up.
Find out which one you are really getting in life

How would you describe your comedic style:
Personable

Describe your process for comedic writing:
A mixed bag of stream of consciousness and structure.

Describe the comedy scene in your area:
I don’t know what it’s like anymore.

How do you judge success in the world of comedy:
How you act in the green room.

Who are some of your comedic peers that you enjoy watching perform or inspire you personally and professionally:
I don’t want to say cuz there are too many and some would be hurt if I didn’t mention them. Everyone I meet good and bad inspire me.

What’s been your most memorable moment in comedy:
Being able to do a clean hr for a sober grad night.

What have you learned most from your failures in comedy:
Not to dwell on them… there’s always another night and another mic.

How do people react towards you when they realize that you can make people laugh:
Like we are going to have a small comedy competition right there in the Starbucks line or try to make me laugh so they can say they made a comic laugh… but it’s all hack bullshit so i laugh to get them to shut the fuck up.

Describe what it’s been like building a career in stand-up comedy:
“This is the longest get rich quick scheme.”

If you could change one thing in the world of comedy, what would it be:
Make comedy specials special again.

Best advice you’ve ever received from a comedian:
Bert Kreischer said to me “You’ll never have writer’s block because you think in funny.” Then went on to tell me to trust myself with an audience.

What would you tell a potential comedian if they ask you how they can own the laughs:
Don’t. If you have to ask then this life isn’t for you. You have to already have this in you.

What are your thoughts on the future of comedy:
We are heading into a time where live performances are gonna be ruined by talkative audiences due to Tik tok. People will think about what comedy is and new comics will think that’s how it is done. It’s not… I was once told. “You write the jokes… not the audience. That’s why you’re up there not them”

If you could write one episode for one classic TV sitcom which show would it be and give a brief detailed sentence on the episode:
Taxi… 9/11 episode

If you could choose 1 comedy club and 3 comedians to perform with on your perfect comedy show, how would it go:
David Spade, Eddie Murphy, & Bill Burr

What’s next for you:
Whatever God has planned.

Why should a person always laugh at life:
Because it’s better than crying about it.
