How did you discover your passion for comedy:
I have always been a class clown and have always been someone who could never fit in. I found myself getting people to like me by becoming funny. Making fun of myself all day just lead me to get better and better. My dad was also the comedian of the family and would always send me off to school everyday with jokes to tell everyone and they would always be bangers!

What do you remember most about your first time performing stand-up comedy:
I remember not telling ANYONE I was so scared. It was such a dark time in my life I felt this was me truly doing something that I had always wanted to do. It was amazing and really lead me to a breakthrough.

How would you describe your comedic style:
Dark Humor all the way. I love taking subjects that aren’t supposed tp be funny and saying it anyway.

Describe your process for comedic writing:
I love to smoke weed , hang with friends, jot down funny ideas that come to mind and later sit with myself and see what else I can come up with. When I go say it on stage is when more ideas start to flow.

Describe the comedy scene in your area:
Lots of Mexicans

How do you judge success in the world of comedy:
In my opinion success in comedy is being able to do only comedy to pay the bills and live, fuck having a regular job. It’ll never be for me.

Who are some of your comedic peers that you enjoy watching perform or inspire you personally and professionally:
Steve Hernandez, Mala Munoz, Frank Uolla, & Viet Nguyen

What’s been your most memorable moment in comedy:
Definitely the time I got called on Kill Tony. I got invited to perform on an actual show by Redban that night plus got introduced to Joe Rogan by Tony. I felt like a celebrity that night.

What have you learned most from your failures in comedy:
There are no failures, it’s all a part of the process! Enjoy every second of it.

How do people react towards you when they realize that you can make people laugh:
They act sos surprised and say I’m brave. You would think I enlisted in the Army (Laughs).

Describe building a career in stand-up comedy:
Constantly trying to find the funny in every situation. Never taking things too hard, being consistent with writing and getting stage, making sure to get out and live life so you have ideas to write from. Staying focused and NETWORK NETWORK NETWORK!

If you could change one thing in the world of comedy, what would it be:
People who have no sense of humor to stay home and not even buy a ticket, some people come to comedy shows and take jokes too serious when clearly the point is the opposite.

Best advice you’ve ever received from a comedian:
Write everyday!!! Even for 10 mins just write!!

If you were releasing a comedy special this week, what would it be called:
BE GOOD & BE FUNNY (what my Dad used to tell me every time he’d drop me off at school or a friends house.)

Funniest encounter you’ve ever had with a celebrity:
Joe Rogan, I completely froze after I said HI and just walked away because I was trying not to act weird, but I was in fact very weird (Laughs).

Weirdest place you’ve ever performed any form of comedy:
Someone’s backyard.

A Stevona Delgado Fun Fact:
My middle name is Martha. People think it’s funny but I am A BAD BITCH NAMED MARTHA!

Where would you like your laughs to take you:
I want to make it a legit career and expand off of that. I would love to travel to do shows, be comedy movies/shows, podcast with other comedians, and even one day open my own Comedy Club for open micers!

What would you tell a potential comedian if they ask you how they can own the laughs:
JUST DO IT BABY!

What are your thoughts on the future of comedy:
I think it’s going to start expanding wide and we’re going to see more comedians every where on every type of platform.

If you could write one episode for one classic TV sitcom which show would it be and give a brief detailed sentence on the episode:
An episode of FRIENDS where one of them has to marry another completely foreign friend to help them get papers to stay in states.

If you could choose 1 comedy club and 3 comedians to perform with on your perfect comedy show, how would it go:
ICE HOUSE COMEDY CLUB! with Mala Munoz, Frank Uolla, & Corina Sagun

What’s next for you:
My next goal is to get on Skankfest this year!!

Why should a person always laugh at life:
BECAUSE IT’S EITHER LAUGH OR KILL OURSELVES AND KILLING YOURSELF HURTS REALLY BAD!
