Moontower Just for Laughs Austin, the city’s annual comedy festival, on Thursday announced several major lineup additions to their 2023 event.
The 11th edition of the fest returns to clubs and theaters around Austin from April 12th-23rd.
Modern “Saturday Night Live” icon Leslie Jones, “Marcel the Shell with Shoes On” mollusk mastermind Jenny Slate, “Full Frontal” host Samantha Bee, Showtime chat show provocateur Ziwe and “RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars” winner Monét X Change will all take the Paramount Theatre stage as headliners.
Also, “Hacks” standout/”Hi, gay!” sensation Megan Stalter, “Together Together” star Patti Harrison and current “SNL” player Sarah Sherman will perform as a trio.
New headliners for the State Theatre next door are impressionist/”SNL” alum Jay Pharoah, Australian puppet Randy Feltface and “Only Fans” comic Matt Rife.
Previously announced headliners include Seth Meyers and Trevor Noah.
Moontower on Thursday also added a slew of other comedy acts to the lineup, including “Abbott Elementary” star Lisa Ann Walter, “Drink Masters” host Tone Bell, “We’re Having Gay Sex” podcast host Ashley Gavin, Dane Baptise and Shalewa Sharpe. The festival also announced a round of new podcasts and several Austin comedians, including Vanessa Gonzalez, Avery Moore and “Funniest Person in Austin” winner Tyler Groce.

Moontower Just for Laughs Austin badges are now on sale. People also can buy tickets to previously announced headliner shows. Presales for badge-holder tickets to newly announced headliners are Feb. 13-15, with tickets on sale to the general public at noon on Feb. 17.
