How did you discover your passion for comedy:
My therapist asked me to write down a bucket list of things I wanted to do before I died and stand-up comedy was one of them and once I tried it I fell in love with it.

What do you remember most about your first time performing stand-up comedy:
That I did not tell anyone I was going to do it and instead just went by myself on the day of my birthday.

How would you describe your comedic style:
My style is a blend of storytelling and observation.

Describe your process for comedic writing:
I take a bunch of notes on my phone when an idea or thought pops into my head and then I go on stage to work that idea out until I get it to where I want it to be.

Describe the comedy scene in your area:
I’m in LA, so the scene out here is very diverse. There is a little bit for everybody.

How do you judge success in the world of comedy:
Success is being able to live off doing what I love to do which is standup comedy.

Who are some of your comedic peers that you enjoy watching perform or inspire you personally and professionally:
Roger Smith, Terrence Delane, & Richard Villa

What’s been your most memorable moment in comedy:
Performing at The Ontario Improv

What have you learned most from your failures in comedy:
That failure is not a reason to stop doing comedy.

How do people react toward you when they realize that you can make people laugh:
They treat me with respect.

Describe building a career in stand-up comedy:
It’s a lot of work and a lot of late nights. Building your career in stand-up is as fun as you make it.

If you could change one thing in the world of comedy, what would it be:
The business of comedy.

Best advice you’ve ever received from a comedian:
Have fun on stage and closed mouths don’t get fed.

If you were releasing a comedy special this week, what would it be called:
Not sure

Weirdest place you’ve ever performed any form of comedy:
Performed in the middle of the street by the Santee Alley’s (IYKYK).

Where would you like your laughs to take you:
I would like them to take me all around the world.

What would you tell a potential comedian if they ask you how they can own the laughs:
To contact you for opportunities.

What are your thoughts on the future of comedy:
I think it’s great despite all the censorship going on. I believe comedy will forever be a safe space to joke about anything.

What’s next for you:
Continue to work and grind out more shows so that I can travel more.

Why should a person always laugh at life:
Because if we cannot laugh at life, life will laugh at us.
