You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take, but you also don’t laugh at 100% of the jokes you don’t hear her say.

Shooters Gotta Shoot is a weekly podcast hosted by comedian Erica Spera as she brings on comedic guest to talk about dating and relationships.

In 2019, Erica publicly came out about having herpes, and how that has affected her dating life. Since then, no topic is off limits. She takes a sports mentality when it comes to dating, and instead of throwing in the towel she breaks down different relationship books, research, tricks and tips with her guests to see what is real and what is B.S.

Titled Short Kings & Romantic Comedy, comedian Ian Lara joins Erica Spera to talk about what really makes a short king, how much attraction matters to men, why some men don’t “like like” women, and much more.

Erica Spera: Erica Spera is the girl next door who’s tall, dark, and one of the guys. Originally from Binghamton NY, Spera is the producer of 607 Comedy, where she hosts shows throughout the Upstate New York area.

When she isn’t having dinner with her ridiculously large family, you can find Erica performing nightly all over the big apple; doing stand up comedy clubs such as Gotham, The Stand, New York Comedy Club, and Caroline’s. She has recently opened for Patton Oswalt, Judah Friedlander and Tim Meadows. Spera was recently named a 2017 TBS Comics to Watch as part of the NY Comedy Festival. You may have seen her on TLC’s Cake Boss, or Gotham Comedy Live! on AXSTV.

Every Friday at 8:30pm, she co-hosts Bitches Brew, at Halyard’s Bar in Brooklyn, which has been named one of TimeOut NY’s “Best Comedy Shows”. You should come see a show and meet Erica’s parents.

This Week’s Special Guest:
Ian Lara: He started comedy right after college because he didn’t feel like going to law school and he’s loved every second of it. Usually, you can catch him performing every night in some of the best and worst shows in New York City, or he’s on the road at a club or college near you. Ian Lara might become a household name but really all he wants is to get big enough where he can wear those big hats Pharrell wears to awards shows.

Ian Lara is one of the hottest rising comics in New York City. Last year he taped a set for Comedy Central Stand-up Featuring which has garnered over 10 million views. He made an appearance on this season of NBC’s Bring the Funny and made his late-night debut on the tonight show with Jimmy Fallon. He was a regular player on This Week at the Comedy Cellar on Comedy Central and You can catch his short special streaming on HBO Max titled LA meets NY Keeping the momentum going he was named one of 2021 “JFL NEW faces.” Starting 2022 with a bang he’s already signed on to do another half-hour comedy special for HBO MAX produced by Entre Nos.

Ian Lara’s Romantic Comedy is currently streaming on MAX.
