Jiaoying Summers & Asian Hall Of Fame Announce Hollywood Improv Comedy Event To Support Maui Families

In response to the recent tragedy in Maui, comedy star Jiaoying Summers jumps off her national tour to stop at the iconic Hollywood Improv to join The Asian Hall of Fame in raising funds to support the rebuilding of lives in Maui through their Trauma Advocacy Initiative. 

The performance and event of Friday, September 8th will help by providing food, shelter, and medical supplies to the devastated Maui community. 

Jiaoying adds, “I am so grateful to Reeta at Hollywood Improv for coming on board with her strength and care for those in so much need. As an honored inductee into The Asian Hall of Fame in 2022, I am deeply aware of their amazing, dedicated work. The evening Jiaoying Summers At Hollywood Improv for Maui will feature guest appearances by several of Jiaoying’s comedy pals who also want to send a message of love and support for the people of Maui during their ongoing search for loved ones. 

Rebuilding of lives and reclaiming a beloved town is going to be a long process that must stay in the headlines.

Jiaoying is currently on her national tour and will be the first Chinese female comic to headline her own show at New York’s famous Apollo Theatre. JIAOYING SUMMERS LIVE AT THE APOLLO, Thursday November 9. From a dumpster baby in China to TikTok comedy queen in Hollywood, Jiaoying Summers is the hottest Chinese-American woman in comedy.

She is a regular headliner at The Laugh Factory, Comedy Store, The Hollywood Improv, Westside Comedy and Caroline’s NYC. Her 30-minute comedy special is streaming on Peacock and Prime Video. She was recently featured on Good Day San Diego, NBC4, Vogue Magazine and The LA Times. She is the owner of The Hollywood Comedy in Los Angeles and focuses on producing shows that promote representation in comedy.

Her signature style and hilarious “Uber Karen” has racked up more than 1.3 million followers, 25 million likes and more than 1 billion likes combined across socials. Summers was recently inducted into the Asian Hall of Fame.
