First Date with Lauren Compton, a weekly podcast where first impressions will NEVER be forgotten.

Finding a decent person to date is hard work, and comedian/viral content creator Lauren Compton is here to get to the bottom of it. It’s a dirty job, but someone’s gotta do it. Weekly, Lauren invites celebrity guests on to have a first date with her and figures out how many red flags they have, if they’re dateable, AND if there will be a second date! Dating is a wild ride… strap in!

Lauren Compton: The Dallas native has amassed quite the following across all forms of social media with her highly-entertaining content, although her IG bio recommends that you “don’t show your mom.” Actress and standup comedian known for appearing on Showtime’s I’m Dying Up Here and HBO’s Here, Now. She also earned a leading role in the Justin Lin feature film HELP. Compton is a regular performer at various high-profile comedy clubs, including Comedy Mothership and Hollywood Improv.

This week, Compton’s welcomes comedian/actress Esther Povitsky!

She’s got a podcast, “Trash Tuesday”, a movie coming out soon “Drugstore June”, and she’s with child…ALOT going on! Esther doesn’t have a safe word, but after the past several months she’s planning on being safer going forward. The pair also discuss paying on the first date, cat dads, insurance policies, and how Valentine’s Day is all just a scam. Before finishing with something sweet, they discuss the pros and cons of pregnancy, bad gifts, bad breath, and all the major icks that make Esther squirm.

Esther Povitsky (@esthermonster): Also known as “Little Esther,” Povitsky is an American actress, comedian, writer, and producer living in Los Angeles, California. She is the co-creator and star of the comedy series Alone Together. Povitsky moved to Los Angeles to pursue stand-up comedy and acting full-time after attending the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She studied comedy at iO Chicago, The Second City, and The Groundlings. She frequently performs stand-up comedy at venues throughout Los Angeles, California, including The Comedy Store, The Ice House, and The Improv. She played Maya on the critically acclaimed series Crazy Ex Girlfriend. Other recent television appearances include Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Love, and Parks and Recreation. Povitsky also survived several rounds of 2015’s Last Comic Standing (season 9), drawing praise from judge Roseanne Barr in particular. Povitsky was the first female guest to appear on The Joe Rogan Experience, after which she began podcasting with DEATHSQUAD regularly. Povitsky currently stars as Izzy in Hulu’s Dollface and her debut comedy special Hot for My Name can be seen on Comedy Central.
