This week, host Joel Byars sits down with actor/comedian/social media personality Rome Green as he shares his comedic journey. Rome was a member of YouTube’s first comedy group, Dormtainment, which built such a big following they got a show on Comedy Central.
They were the FIRST comedy group to bridge the gap between YouTube and TV. During the interview, Rome goes in-depth regarding what it takes to gain success in social media comedy and gets real about the power of having multiple streams of income to take all the pressure off comedy money.
Rome Green: Entertainer and comedian who is a member of the YouTube collaborative channel DormtainmentTV which has an audience of more than 1.1 million subscribers. He and his group mates originally began posting videos online in 2009. In 2011, they created their new YouTube account, where their goal was to upload a new sketch every week. He and Dormtainment have released comedy albums titled Broke and Famous and Broke and Famous 2.
