Former Jax Media president Brooke Posch is unveiling her next act.
With the help of UTA, which continues to rep Posch, she’s launching Good&Done, which will produce comedy across TV and film, though she hopes to do so through a different lens. As she’s done before, she will work with both established and next wave comedic voices — and, as the industry continues to contract, she will rely on her expertise in producing more economically than most. Posch’s first hire is Hanna Kitziger, who will serve as her head of development.
“Throughout my career I’ve experienced the incredible rewards of having developed and produced some of the most extraordinary voices in TV and film. I’m thrilled to take this next step to launch Good&Done and bring on executive Hannah Kitziger,” said Posch in a statement announcing the news. “Unique perspectives are the drivers in breakthrough programming, and we’re excited to shake up the comedy landscape.”
Her last professional chapter was at Jax, which she departed last year after its sale to Imagine Entertainment. During her time there, which began in 2018 as president of original programming, Posch launched several series, including A Black Lady Sketch Show, and pushed the company into other arenas, from non-scripted to film.
Prior to that, Posch co-ran Amy Poehler’s Paper Kite Productions and, earlier, was an exec at Comedy Central. She has executive producer credits on series including Broad City and Difficult People, and was part of the development of both Inside Amy Schumer and Russian Doll.
Like Posch, who got her start working for Lorne Michaels, Kitziger most recently served as VP of film and TV at Michaels’ Broadway Video. Kitziger had come by way of Universal TV, where she worked on projects including Brooklyn 99, and before that at Quibi, where she was involved in the first iteration of Fire Island, which was later developed into the Emmy-nominated Hulu film with Posch serving as an executive producer.
