It’s a podcast that is pretty self-explanatory.

Stand-up comedian Luke Mones, along with many others in his profession, is constantly asked by outsiders what it’s like to work and fellowship with some of the genre’s biggest names on a nightly basis.

Instead of answering each request one by one, Mones has decided to answer the masses in the form of his podcast titled Luke Mones Explained

Luke Mones: Luke Mones is a New York based comedian, writer, and actor. Luke wrote and starred in the Comedy Central digital series Genies. In 2019 he was named an Up Next comedian by Comedy Central. He currently hosts a comedy news show for Inside Edition called The Breakdown. Luke has written material and made videos for the Howard Stern Show, and is frequently featured in videos on Funny Or Die and CollegeHumor. Luke has performed in festivals like Clusterfest, the New York Comedy Festival and the Laughing Devil Festival, where he won 1st Place. He has also performed at dozens of colleges around the country and headlined Carolines Comedy Club as part of their “Breakout Artist” series. Luke’s short “Early Decision” screened at the Cannes Film Festival, and his work has been written up in The AV Club, Tubefilter, and the Huffington Post.

This week, Luke will be joined by stand-up comedian and friend Joe List as they discuss a wide variety of topics, including knowing missing people, receiving giant checks, the hunt for Whitey Bulger, and more. It’s a doozy. Also there’s a surprise guest.

Joe List: Joe List began his comedy career in Boston, Massachusetts in 2000 just weeks after graduating from high school. Since that time he has been featured on The Late Show with David Letterman as well as multiple appearances on Conan. List has been featured on Comedy Central’s Live at Gotham, FoxNews Red Eye, The Artie Lange Show, as well as AXSTV’s Gotham Comedy Live. List has also twice been featured at the prestigious Just For Laughs festival in Montreal as well as the Vancouver Comedy Festival and Oslo Comedy Festival.

He’s featured in Season 2 of The Netflix Series The Stand Ups. In 2015 List was a finalist on NBC’s Last Comic Standing and had his own Half Hour comedy special on Comedy Central. His albums So Far No Good and Are You Mad at Me? can be heard regularly on Sirius Radio.

List is also the co-host of his own popular weekly podcast Tuesdays with Stories. When not headlining comedy clubs all over North America, List is a regular at the Comedy Cellar in New York City.
