One of the West Coast’s premier comedy entertainment companies is ready to take its brand to the next level with the launch of its annual comedy festival. The first We Own The Laughs Comedy Festival will be held Thursday September 26th-Sunday September 29th, 2024 in Modesto, CA.

We Own The Laughs History:
In Aug. 2014, We Own The Laughs began as a monthly comedy showcase in Bakersfield, CA. Since late 2018, WOTL has expanded throughout the West Coast, including regular appearances at legendary comedy clubs/venues, including Cobb’s Comedy Club, Punch Line Sacramento, The HaHa Comedy Club, Ice House Comedy Club, Ontario Improv, Mic Drop Comedy Club, and Laughs Unlimited. Growing into one of the premier comedy entertainment brands in the country, We Own The Laughs has featured performances by notable comedians Kel Mitchell, Leslie Liao, Kabir Singh, Jenn Sterger, London Brown, Tahir Moore, Kim Congdon, Matt Rife, Jeremiah Watkins, Brian Hooks, JR De Guzman, Terrence DeLane, Natalie Friedman, Francisco Ramos, Adam Hunter, Esther Ku, & Byron Bowers.

*Submissions open on April 25th through May 23rd, 2024. Performer lineups will be announced NOON Friday July 12th.

WOTL Comedy Festival Kickoff Party: An introduction social mixer event welcoming arriving festival performers and supporters.
WOTL Roast Battle Competition: As seen on Comedy Central, Roast Battle combines the best parts of sports and stand-up comedy. A double elimination tournament event, Two comedians square off in a competition of joke writing to see who can come up with the funniest and most creative verbal insults. They make their case for victory to our festival panel of judges with the overall winner of the tournament awarded $2,000.00.
We Own The Laughs: Modesto @ The State Theatre: One of California’s premier comedy entertainment companies returns to Modesto, CA, with another electrifying performance from some of the funniest comedians in stand-up comedy as part of We Own The Laughs: Modesto. The night will feature the finals of the WOTL Roast Battle competition and showcase performance from the festival’s marquee headliner.
Black & White Gala: A formal dinner event consisting of cocktails, mingling, dancing, and live entertainment among the festival’s performers.
WOTL Brunch & Festival Awards Ceremony: This event will recognize outstanding achievements and contributions by festival performers, as well as allow attendees to enjoy delicious food and socialize with comedy friends.
