Moontower Comedy Festival Announces Full Lineup

Moontower Comedy Festival has released the full lineup and club show daily schedule for the festival taking place starting next week, April 10-21 at venues centrally located in downtown Austin. The festival will feature some of the country’s biggest comedians in stand-up, sketch, and more with original shows, cult favorites, rising stars, live podcast recordings, parties and special events. From April 10-21, over 100 comedians will invade downtown Austin at over 10 different walkable venues for an eleven-day comedy binge filled with non-stop laughter. This year’s festival headliners include Shane Gillis with two sold-out shows at the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park, Ronny Chieng and Tim Robinson performing at Bass Concert Hall, and comedy giant Andrew Schulz at the Moody Center. Most of the headlining shows, however, will be headed to the historic stages at the Paramount and State Theatres, including Amy Sedaris, Ari Shaffir, Brad Williams, Darcy & Jer, Desi Banks, Frankie Quiñones, Jeff Ross, Joe Pera, Kathy Griffin, Marc Maron, Margaret Cho, Mike Birbiglia, Ms. Pat, Nicole Byer, Rachel Bloom, Roy Wood Jr., Sarah Sherman and Chloe Fineman, and Lovett Or Leave It. There will also be The State Reunion and a screening of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off with Alan Ruck. Celebrity Memoir Book Club will be at 800 Congress.

Many of the club shows feature an outstanding lineup of multiple comedians performing back-to-back, including new Saturday Night Live cast member Chloe Troast, stand-up comedian and writer Sara Schaefer; Happy Endings’ Adam Pally, James Adomian from Comedy Bang! Bang!, Ophira Eisenberg, Sophie Buddle, Jo Koy: In His Elements’ Andrew Orolfo, Bob’s Burgers voice actor and comedian Andy Kindler, Jay Jurden, staff writer for Apple TV+’s Emmy nominated show The Problem With Jon Stewart, Hasan Minhaj’s Patriot Act’s Joyelle Nicole Johnson, and Hanging with Doctor Z’s Dana Gould.
