Netflix Sets New Comedy Specials With Ali Wong, Bert Kreischer, Jo Koy & More

On the first day of Netflix Is a Joke Fest 2024, Netflix has announced seven new comedy specials from Ali Wong, Bert Kreischer, Deon Cole, Fortune Feimster, Gabriel Iglesias, Jo Koy and Michelle Buteau.

Both Cole and Wong will tape their new hours at the festival, with Cole’s filming at The Los Angeles Theater on May 2nd and Wong’s filming during her residency at The Wiltern on May 4th. The first of his previously announced two-special deal, Kreischer’s will tape at the Mahaffey Theater in St. Petersburg, FL on July 5th, 6th and 7th.

As we were first to report, Iglesias is shooting two new specials, which will be his fourth and fifth for the streamer, with the first to tape at Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, FL from July 12th-14th. While Buteau will film her second special for Netflix at Radio City Music Hall this summer, Koy’s was taped at The Kings Theater in Brooklyn, NY last November.

No word on when Feimster’s is taping, but it will mark her third for Netflix following Good Fortune and Sweet & Salty and launches later this year.

Recently winning her two Emmys and a Golden Globe for her work on Netflix’s Beef, Wong has previously been in business with the streamer on the specials Don WongHard Knock Wife and Baby Cobra, as well as the rom-com Always Be My Maybe. She also lends her voice to Netflix’s Ask the StoryBotsAda Twist, Scientist, and Emmy-winning adult animated comedy Big Mouth.

Kreischer’s fourth and fifth specials for Netflix come following ratings success with his hours Razzle DazzleHey Big Boy, and Secret Time. Recently, he also starred in and produced the Sony action comedy The Machine, which joins his special of the same name on the platform.

Poised to release his third special for Netflix, following Charleen’s Boy and Cole Hearted, Cole can also be seen in Season 1 of Netflix’s multi-comic series The Standups.

In addition to the aforementioned specials, Feimster can be seen in Standout: An LGBTQ+ Celebration, which was taped at Netflix Is a Joke Fest 2022, as well as Season 1 of The Standups and the Arnold Schwarzenegger series FUBAR.

Iglesias’s latest hours come following the success of Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias: Stadium Fluffy, where he made history as the first comedian to perform at and sell out Dodger Stadium, as well as Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias: One Show Fits All and Gabriel Iglesias: I’m Sorry For What I Said When I Was Hungry. Additionally, he exec produced and starred for two seasons on Netflix’s multi-cam Mr. Iglesias.

Marking Koy’s fifth Netflix special, his latest follows Live from the Los Angeles ForumComin’ in Hot, and Live From Seattle, as well as the variety special In His Elements.

Previously putting out the Netflix special Welcome to Buteaupia, Buteau also EPs, writes, and stars in the critically acclaimed Netflix comedy series Survival of the Thickest, which has been renewed for a second season. Additionally, she hosts the social media competition show The Circle, whose sixth season just premiered, and the competition series Barbecue Showdown.

This year’s Netflix Is a Joke Fest is scheduled to take place across Los Angeles through May 12th.
