Adam Sandler is back with a brand-new stand-up special! This marks his second special with Netflix, whom he previously partnered with on 100% Fresh.
The new special, titled Love You, was taped during a run of shows at the Nocturne Theater in Glendale, CA. Sandler tapped Josh Safdie – whom he worked with on Uncut Gems – to direct the special. And now we’ve got a look at the trailer.
Judging from the first trailer, the overall look and vibe of the special feels very intimate. That’s precisely the vibe I got when I attended the first taping earlier this year.
It’s in stark contrast with the arenas that Sandler regularly sells out around the globe.
Adam Sandler: Love You premieres on Netflix August 27th.
