Laugh It Forward trailer for the upcoming stand-up comedy show, which hails from Wonderland and Hideout Pictures.
The project’s worldwide disrtribution rights was recently acquired by Strike Back Studios, who are planning to release the show on digital platforms this coming June.
“We are absolutely thrilled to partner with Strike Back Studios,” Wonderland executive Corey Marsh said in a statement. “The opportunity to expand viewership across multiple platforms made this collaboration a perfect fit.”
The video highlights the five comedians who will headline the upcoming show, as they perform at the legendary Viper Room on the Sunset strip in Hollywood, CA. These include Lisa Ann Walter (Abbott Elementary, Bruce Almighty), Rob Riggle (21 Jump Street, Night School), Jay Pharoah (Saturday Night Live, The Blackening), Jimmy O. Yang (Interior Chinatown, Silicon Valley), and King Bach (The Babysitter, Holidate). In addition, these famous comedic actors will also give the spotlight to their favorite up-and-coming stand up comics.
“Set against the backdrop of L.A.‘s legendary Viper Room on the Sunset Strip in Hollywood, the series blends star power with fresh talent, offering a dynamic mix of cutting-edge comedy and a speakeasy vibe,” reads the show’s logline. “Each episode is hosted by a celebrity comic who introduces their favorite up-and-coming comedians, creating a feel-good experience that laughs it forward for the next generation of comics.”
Laugh It Forward is executive produced by McG, Mary Viola, Corey Marsh, Jesse Murphy, Shannon Houchins, and Trevor O’Neil. The show will also introduced comedians Vinny Fasline, Andrea Jin, Nicky Paris, Comedian CP, Nick Guerra, Erica Rhodes, Sydney Castillo, and more. It is produced by Noor Ahmed, with Michael Tiddes and Michael Shultz serving as its respective director and editor.
