The second comedy special from award-wining comedian, Mike Rita, touches on his Portuguese roots, growing up in an immigrant household, family life, and of course, drug use.
Mike Rita: Born and raised in Toronto and based in Wasaga Beach. Mike Rita turned his experiences of growing up in a Portuguese working-class immigrant family and in a low-income neighbourhood in West downtown Toronto into the inspiration for his prolific career as a comedian. Besides the quirks and mannerisms of his ethnic background, his parents’ hard work ethic helped him break past the low expectations often placed on working-class Portuguese-Canadian boys and become a successful comedian in Toronto and across the Portuguese diaspora.
