My Favorite Lyrics is hosted by Saturday Night Live star and stand-up comedian Devon Walker.

Devon Walker: An American stand-up comedian, actor, and writer. In 2022, Walker joined the cast of the NBC sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live as a featured player for the show’s 48th season. He was promoted to repertory cast in 2024. Walker began his comedy career with his first open mic event in late 2014, as he was beginning graduate school. He moved to New York City in 2018, where he hosted the monthly comedy show Dad with comics Alex English and Gary Richardson at The Jane. In 2017, Walker was chosen for their Up Next showcase, and in 2019, he had his own special on Comedy Central Stand-Up Featuring. He has written for the animated Netflix comedy Big Mouth] and the 2022 Freeform comedy series Everything’s Trash. 

This week, Walker is joined by friend and fellow stand-up comedian Jay Jurden as they discuss a variety of topics including their love for music and personal comedic journeys.

Punchline lover and G-Unit super fan Jay Jurden runs a masterclass in lyricism on this week’s episode. Devon and Jay highlight their favorite parts of early 2000s regional rap beef, pay their respects to Trina’s confidence, and give some unsolicited advice to one Aubrey Graham.

Jay Jurden: Jay Jurden is a New York based comedian, writer and actor. Originally from Mississippi, Jay regularly performs comedy all over the country and is  currently a Staff Writer for Apple TV+’s  Emmy-nominated show, The Problem With Jon Stewart. 
 
Jay has performed on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon three times and has also been seen on The Late Late Show with James Corden, Comedy Central FeaturingThe Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and HBO’s High Maintenance. 
 
Jay was named one of Variety’s 10 Comics to Watch in 2022. His album, Jay Jurden Y’all, debuted #1 on iTunes. Jay has written for numerous publications including: VultureTeen Vogue, McSweeney’s, and The New Yorker. He has also written for Marvel’s Voices: X-Men #1. He was listed on Vulture’s  Comedians You Should and Will Know in 2020 and was selected to be featured in Just for Laughs Festival’s New Faces in 2019. 
 
He is currently represented by APA and managed by Seven Summits.
