Nacya Marreiro: Hailing from Portugal and now making waves in the vibrant comedy scene of Los Angeles, Nacya Marreiro is a multilingual stand-up comedian and actress with a knack for captivating audiences worldwide. Fluent in Portuguese, Spanish, English, and basic French, Nacya’s linguistic versatility adds depth and humor to her performances. Her journey into comedy began unexpectedly while traversing the skies as an international flight attendant in Norway, where she discovered her passion for stand-up. Fuelled by this newfound love, Nacya honed her comedic skills through acting classes at esteemed institutions such as the Juilliard alum actress school, Mona Lee, and the Ickey Studio for Screen Acting in Austin, Texas.
Nacya Marreiro’s creative ingenuity shines through her creation of “The Riff,” an improv stand-up show that has garnered acclaim across multiple cities. From its inception in Austin at The Creek and The Cave, New York City at The Stand, to its current residence in Los Angeles at The Hollywood Improv, “The Riff” has showcased a stellar lineup of guests, including comedy heavyweights like Joe Rogan, Tj Miller, Big Jay, and Tiffany Haddish. With her first comedy special released on YouTube in 2022 and an appearance on Netflix is a Joke Radio, Nacya continues to solidify her status as a rising star in the comedy realm. Not content with just stand-up, Nacya has showcased her acting prowess in various roles, notably as Rita in the award-winning comedy short film “Down Way to Mexico,” Valentine in “Moving Valentine” on Amazon Prime, and Gigi in “The Contract” on BET.
