Melay Araya, the venue’s Artistic Director, told us, “The Town Hall is so excited to present Ramy in this special one-night-only program. He’s one of the most exciting and vital voices in the world—a global comedy phenomenon—but he’s also our hometown hero. We’re honored to have him take our stage and can’t wait to hear what he’s been thinking and dreaming up over the last several months.”

Youssef is best known as the creator, director and star of Hulu’s Peabody Award-winning comedy Ramy, which earned him a Golden Globe and multiple Emmy nominations. He co-created Netflix’s Mo, starring Mo Amer, and is also the co-creator, executive producer and star of #1 Happy Family USA, the adult animated series that premiered on Prime Video in April.

Youssef is coming off of Golden Globe, Critics Choice, WGA and Peabody Award nominations for his second HBO special, Ramy Youssef: More Feelings, produced by A24 and his Cairo Cowboy. He earned Emmy and DGA nominations for his directing work on FX’s The Bear, made his feature debut in Yorgos Lanthimos’ Oscar winner Poor Things, recently guest starred on Apple TV’s The Studio, and starred alongside Steve Carell, Jason Schwartzman and Cory Michael Smith in the recent HBO Original Film Mountainhead from Succession‘s Jesse Armstrong.
