His ability to connect with audiences through humor rooted in real life made him a beloved figure in clubs, theaters, and comedy festivals. Jeff began his stand-up comedy career in 1991, performing in comedy clubs across Southern California. He appeared on the nationally broadcast half-hour special Comedy Central Presents (2006), showcasing his signature storytelling and observational humor rooted in cultural identity, family, and everyday life. Jeff achieved widespread recognition as the voice of Sheen Estevez, first in the animated film Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius (2001), and later in the TV series The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius (2002–2006). He also voiced characters like Rinaldo in Happy Feet (2006) and roles in the Rio films.
He has appeared on one of the half-hour comedy special Comedy Central Presents in May 2006. He was a contestant in the Comedy Central series Reality Bites Back, but quit after the first day.
