SubwayTakes with Kareem Rahma is a fast‑paced, street‑style talk show originating on New York City’s subway system.

Hosted by stand-up comedian and media personality Kareem Rahma, the show features him approaching everyday commuters—and often celebrities—with a vintage double-breasted suit, clipped MetroCard mic in hand, and the signature opener:

“So, what’s your take?”

Guests offer bold, unconventional opinions (“takes”) which they then defend as Rahma, dressed in his oversized suit, sometimes wholeheartedly agrees or completely disagrees.

Kareem Rahma: Kareem Rahma is a three-time Webby-nominated writer, producer, comedian and musician. He is the creator and host of two hit digital series: Keep The Meter Running and SubwayTakes, which have both amassed 100s of millions of views on TikTok and Instagram. He wrote, produced and played the lead in OR SOMETHING (The Downtown Festival, 2024) as well as OUT OF ORDER (Tribeca, 2022). Kareem was also an Executive Producer of CATERPILLAR (SXSW, 2023), FERGUSON RISES (Tribeca, 2021) and MIRACLE FISHING (Tribeca, 2020). In 2020, his book of poetry, WE WERE PROMISED FLYING CARS, was published with Brooklyn-based Pioneer Works. Kareem’s band TINY GUN continues to perform all over New York’s most iconic venues including Baby’s All Right and The Knitting Factory.

This week, Actor, writer, and comedian Rachel Sennott (I Love LA, Bottoms) boards the New York City subway with Kareem Rahma for an unfiltered ride about making television, staying sane, and surviving your own brain. She talks about crying every day while making her new show “I Love LA,” the chaos of doing everything herself, and why no one warns you how emotional the process really is. She opens up about the shows that shaped her (Girls, Insecure, Sex and the City), why everyone needs one “cute little addiction,” and the spiral of phone addiction and screen time shame.
